This range was opened last year. I will update this as it appears in the paper.

RIDGECREST - The Ridgecrest Gun Range Association will hold its first shooting competition at the new range on Saturday, Oct. 30, at 10 a.m. Prizes, valued at over $500, will include a firearm.

The rifle steel fun challenge match has been designed to provide all levels of shooters with an enjoyable time. Hits will be counted if the targets "ring," offering less than expert marksmen a chance at one of the three finishes in the class.
The match is open to all ages. Children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult and approved by the range master. Only iron sights and scoped rifles with calibers from .223 on up will be allowed - no magnum calibers. Black-powder shooters are welcome and parent/child teams are encouraged to join in the competition.

Match fees are $10 for adults and $5 for those under 18. Membership in the RGRA is not required for match participation. There is no cost to observers.

The ranges are 100, 300 and 600 yards. Ten shots will be allowed per position, and the same rifle must be used at all ranges. Practice will be allowed from dawn until 9:45 a.m.

Prizes will be drawn from tickets held by all shooters, and will range from a gun to women's and children's gifts.

Bring your own lunch. Water and sodas will be available for purchase at the range.

For pre-registration information, and a map to the range, access the RGRA Web page at www.rgra.org.

The raffle winner for a Buffalo Hunt will be drawn during the lunch break. A few tickets will be available at the match.

A shoot-off will be held in the afternoon, if necessary.

There is a lot of information on their web page at http://www.rgra.org/ .
I only know what I read in the paper or their web page as I am in no way affiliated with them.
Their web page has a 'click on' for phone numbers and there is also directions.
