As far as I know, this might be the first custom Springfield EMP 3/4 bob custom out there. Maybe the first custom?:eek This is Springfields brand new baby 1911, and no it is not just plug and play for 1911 parts.
This started as a stock EMP that the custom wanted the butt rounded on to keep it from eating up the heal of his hand. Well one thing lead to another and I worked over a Ed Brown bobtail housing to make up this "3/4" bob. It did turn out nice and is now VERY comfortable to shoot and comes right up to aim.
Custom "3/4" bob job. Can be done to the officer frame as well.
Target Crown the barrel
Full tuning and reliability work
Crisp 4.5 lb trigger
Rhino stippling on front and top half of MSH
Custom made 1911 style thumb safety to eliminate the ambi safety.
Duracoat Combat Black finish.
And a lot of fluffing and buffing that I do when I take one apart anyway. Wolff springs.
I think that this makes for one very cool pocket rocket!
