First Firearm You Ever Fired ?

.22 caliber bolt action rifle @ shooting range. Not sure what model / brand. We were 20 years old and first-time shooters when we first went shooting so we could not rent handguns like most people my age (20s) seem to do the first time.

Come on now, you can't tell me that I'm the only one who had a BB gun as the first gun you ever shot.

If you don't count a BB gun (with a nod to Ohioshooter), it was a Ruger Bearcat that cost $32.95, which ought to give you some idea as to how long ago this took place. I still have the Bearcat and still take it to the range from time to time. I've also added three more Bearcats to the stable through the years.

Some kind of 32 semi auto when I was pretty young. Another kid found his father's gun and we shot it a couple times.
About that time I found my Grandfathers gun, a 32 revolver. We shot it a few times until I dropped it and broke off the hammer spur. My Grandfather wasn't interested in guns and he never noticed it. I've got the gun today, although it was in a fire in 1995.

Single shot .410 that belonged to my mother. I was about 6 or 7. Been shooting ever since. Oldest son has it now. Still a nice rabbit gun.

first firearm

A Colt Woodsman 22 pistol held by my Grandfather while I pulled the trigger at age six. I have been hooked on guns ever since. Then again I am a descendant of five generations of German gunsmiths that first came here in 1752. Lordy, I do love firearms and shotguns sing a special song to me!

the first firearm i ever shot was the s&w model 13 .357 magnum i bought in about 1979........ the first cylinder of federal .357 magnums was a wake up call to get hearing protection!!

LIFE IS SHORT.....

It was a .22 rifle. I was young and my mothers cousin Halbert took me along to his cabin for a weekend. I don't remember what make or model, but I sure do remember that day.

A BB-Gun, the first firearm was a J.C. Higgins (Sears) Single-Shot, Bolt-action .410 shotgun when I was about eleven around 1967. I had a life preserver on and the family was out on an island. We were shooting at a plastic clorox bottle we found on the beach. The gun had 2 1/2" shells in it and even with the life jacket as padding, I remember I thought the recoil to be a lot.

Then I remember us fishing the bottle out of the water and seeing all the small holes and finding some lead pellets inside of it.

It was my dad's Marlin 39 .22 lever. I was eight years old, it was 1966. I got a Glenfield Model 25 for my 12th birthday, and still have it. Dad's still kicking, still has his 39, and says he's going to give it to my son. Life is good. :)

My Dad's Marlin 80 when I was 11 back in 1959. Fifty years later, and I still have it.

12 gauge single shot shotgun. Montgomery Ward, I believe, but the old girl is so worn on the side I am kinda guessing. Shot it with my Dad when I was 9 or 10.
That shotgun came from his dad. A real working gun. I also now have the old double barrel 12 gauge that my uncle, his older brother got from their Dad, my Grandpa. Absolutely knocked the hell out of me, even with him kinda helpin.

Still shoot them, and while my nephew started on the Sears 22 my Dad bought me later that same year, the first shotgun he shot is the same one as me.

Miss ya Dad.

Ruger Mk2, followed closly bya Ruger 10/22 and some 7-shot S&W revolver. On my 17th birthday. Others guns I've fired: .410 shot gun (twice, different guns) a FA Uzi (fun, but a good way to waste money,it was a rental), 12 gauge shotgun, and a bolt gun in .270 Wichester
