One in the hand of an idiot.
Also, I was pulled over one night by a police officer who was the high school bully. We had two fist fights in school. One ended with me breaking his hand. The gun on his hip was by far the scariest I've ever seen.
The good part, we talked for a while and he apoligized for the meanness of his youth.

Good story, glad to hear he's changed his ways (especially now that he's a public servant!).

I watched the U.S.S. New Jersey firing her main batteries during shore bombardment exercises off the coast of California in 1968/1969. I was about a mile away, needless to say I was impressed. I could feel the much smaller ship I was standing on the fantail watching; shudder with each firing of the big guns.
Another impressive sight is the night illumination firing from naval rifles of 5"-38 caliber.

did you still get a ticket?

An H&K MPK-5 in the hands of a W. German polizei. My brother and I were waiting in his car at a bus stop. He accidentally beeped and they came over. The raid on Libya had just happened.

No ticket, my liscence plate light was out and he let me go. The event really gave me a good feeling that people can change.

the most intimidating gun i've ever seen in person in my best friend's mc bros50 bmg target rifle-sniper rifle.... depending on the situation................. the most intimidating gun i've ever seen on the screen is the gau8 warthog cannon.............

LIFE IS SHORT.....

the only firearm that actually impressed me was the one the us army bolts underneath the pilot on ground attack helicoptors. when that cannon starts up it just gives you that warm fuzzy feeling of goodness.

Ok, ok...in all seriousness, THIS is truly the most intimidating firearm Ive seen so far (and one I would absolutely love to own).

I think it's the .44 magnum revolver I saw at a gunshow with a 2" barrel. The cylinder should not be longer than the barrel. It made me nervous, just looking at the gun and wonderign what the recoil was like.

I've never seen an intimidating firearm. I've seen a number of intimidating shooters.

I'll second a S&W .44mag snubnose. I saw one for a killer deal at a pawnshop a while ago ($250) and would have pulled the trigger on the deal, except the thought of firing it scared the bejeebus out of me.

I'd have to say the 25mm bushmaster... especially when its firing over your head. And Im pretty sure it was the loudest I'd ever heard.
Well the first shot was loud, every one after that started to get a bit quieter that the others. (see the thread "do soldiers go deaf?")
