Some sort of synthetic stocked .22 when I was 8, I remember shooting at a old tin syrup can, punched 5 or 6 holes with it, then a few minutes later, was allowed to fire a Glock 19, by myself. Then I got to throw clays for my Uncle with a hand thrower.

Stevens 20ga single shot. I was either 8 or 9. Got a new Remington 870 wingmaster 20ga for my 10th birthday. Shot my first 25 straight in skeet when I was 11 with that gun. BTW I still own it.

Some sort of semi-auto .22 rifle. I was with my uncles and grandfather sighting in their hunting rifles before season opened. They brought the .22 along to allow me to shoot as well. I was probably 6 or 7 at that time.

Back in 1963, when I was 5 and visiting relatives in Sicily, Italy of all places. A 3d cousin let me shoot his M-1 carbine at an "Esso" sign propped up against a pile of tires and concrete rubble behind his gas station. No eyes, no ears and I remember the ricochetes whining off into the distance:what:
Ahhh the old days, there gone forever!
Now that I think of it, there's no way that rifle was legal in that country! Hope they stashed it for SHTF...

a downright antique pump .22 that my friend sneaked from his mom. it had belonged to her dad. i have no idea what model it was. i only know that we got in serious trouble for having fired it.

L98A1 Cadet GP Rifle.

My dad's Springfield singleshot .22 rifle is the first rifle I ever fired.

He got it when he was 12 years old in 1932.

I let it get stolen during a divorce in 1988, and last year when my dad was 87years old, I found another one, bought it, and gave it to him.

His mind is slowly fading and today he thinks it's his original rifle.

I was VERY young...and on vacation with the family. We somehow ended up at a rifle range somewhere and My Dad and My Uncle rented an AR-15. I shot it and remember how loud and stinky it was! I was about 10 or 11. Didn't really do it for me...but it was cool to try it.

Winchester lever action in 22 Hornet. Knocked an apple off a prickly pear cactus. Think I was around 8 years old.

I was 19 before I ever shot my first firearm. I was at my then girlfriends parents place in Wharton and her dad pulled out a nickel Colt 1911 with stag grips. It had a blast! Ever since then I have been addicted. Bad.

S&W Model 1917, .45 ACP Revolver.

Was my Dad's Gun, and, I was around 9 years old.

Shooting WWII surplus brown cardboard box Ammo we'd bought for I think a dollar-a-box at a surplus Store.

I did fine with it, loved it in fact.

Turned out I was an alright shot.

Small guage shotgun hunting with a friend, back when I was 13 I believe. Given my age the recoil was minimal, couldnt have been much.

That would be a Marlin M39 that my Dad bought new in 1955.
It now resides in my safe and although I don't take it out much these days it will never be for sale as long as I'm breathing.

Ruger Mk1 when i was around 7. I was shooting at my grandparents farm. i will never forget. Very very happy time. Pissed my grandad off cause I put 22cal holes in the out house shooting at birds. Old stubborn English man refused to use the indoor plumbing.
