Forget the AR's, tell me about the BREN and the -28, heh. Nice to see you guys a still allowed to have fun over there. All I can say is y'all look like a bunch of Frenchies having fun. We need to set up an international fun shoot somewhere. Get all our members from all the different countries together and tell those who would relegate weapon ownership to the government to piss off.

Hello every body,

I'm glad to see the welcome you've done to my friend Bushmaster !
I'm not so fluently speaking in english, so I do not post messages as long as him !!

This day was the my best day since i practice the shooting sport, and thanks to a lot of friends, this day was very plaisant.

Here is some pics of my guns :

Have fun:)

Very cool pictures guys, thanks for sharing! It looks like you all had a lot of fun. You all have some VERY nice rifles and pistols there as well. I'm jealous!

It's very interesting to see pictures of gun guys from different parts of the globe. :)

Are the machine guns in front of you all in the group picture live, or are they deactivated somehow? I am in love with that Bren!

MaxFR-

What type of suppressor is that on your AR? It looks great the way it fits inside the handguard like that, too cool!

Thanks again guys, and welcome to The High Road.

Hi frenchbushmaster and Maxfr, I'm Fearless warrior on the Ar15france.com forum.
Hello everyone.

As a matter of fact I didn't attend the first french AR15 enthusiast meeting in Lyon because of my work and I do regret it.
Hope the next meeting will take place in Normandie so that I can sneak in between 2 interventions if ever I'll be on duty.

You two have done a good job explaining in details the gunlaw in France hence I don't see anything else to add.

My turn to show you folks the weapons I own, they are nothing compared to what frenchbushmaster has but I'm happy with that.

The AR-15s are now upgraded to these:

More rifles:

And a few trophies:

I'm also a knife fan:

TSRA Stickers

If you are at all interested, send me your mailing address in my Private Messages and I will send you some TSRA stickers.

Nice guns. Glad to see you guys shooting.

To exposure:

- the MG are all real and live ! but we can't used them this day  ( the French laws forbid for civilian to used them, only Law enforcement, military and gunsmith are allowed).

- The silencor is made by French gunsmith (http://www.rdstactical.com/ ,sorry the site is only in french) anf the handguard is YHM. It's the only handguard which allow to fit a silencor into it. My barrel is 7" lengh and the handguard is 9". When I remove the silencor, I use the flash-hidder from the XM177.

YYYEEEAAAAPPPIIIIII !!

Hello Guy's !!
Nice to have reinforcement for give our American friends some explanations about our live.

For the Machine Gun, like we could not buy and used full auto weapon since 1995, it's not interesting for us to buy a MG42, BREN, BAR, etc.. or any other weapons in this definition (heavy machine gun)

But for be honest, I dream of a M60 :) But it's only a dream :(

Just for the pleasur because my friend have post beautiful pictures and I want not stay behind :neener::D
I dont resiste pleasure to send you these pictures of 3 AR15.
My brother OBERLAND ARMS M4, my friend Philippe SDI M4 and my COLT COMMANDO.

LRRPS, Arfcom here in America would be really proud of how you tricked our some of your ARs. Kudos (congratulations on a job well done).

Thanks 4v50Gary, I'm also a member of the ARFCOM but for some unknown reason I can't access to this forum anymore.

I am confused by the fact that you say that 5.56 is not a legal caliber and yet you have Ar15s. I saw a .222 caliber mentioned and am wondering if that is the same as .223 with a slightly smaller bullet for legal reasons or is it a entirely different cartridge?

MaxFR-

Thanks for the answers. It is good to know those machine guns are still live, even if you guys can't own them right now. :( Hopefully things will change in the future and you guys can own them again.

I would imagine that your suppressed AR must be a real flame thrower when the suppressor is not attached. A 7 inch barrel would surely make for an brilliant show in low light! :D How effective is the suppressor on such a short barrel? Can you shoot it without hearing protection?

frenchbushmaster-

What is the optic attached to the carry handle of the rifle in the middle of the pic with the three AR's standing side by side? Can you get a good cheek weld to the collapsible stock while still having a good sight picture?

Sorry for all the questions guys.

Thanks again to our French friends for taking the time to not only share their pics but for speaking such excellent English. :)

Hello,

yesit'sloaded :
We could have .222 remington or .223 remington/5.56 NATO.
The difference between the two cartridge is not realy important.
The 223 is more powerfull and the 222 is more accurate.
It's a question of form.
MaxFr do a realy good picture better than a long explanation.
223vs222.gif
After the difference for us is that like I have an old Colt AR15 .222 rem produced before 1995 for civilian free market (without any paper required for buy it) I prefer this caliber because it's a hunting caliber in our legislation and I dont have any quota for buy ammo. It's more expensive to buy .222 rem (twise price than a .223) but for reloading it's exactly the same price (same primer, same bullet, same powder).

Exposure :

The optic on the Commando is a classic red dot AIMPOINT ML-2 with two extras. The rubber protection and the low visibility front filter.

Witch stock intrest you ?
On the commando it's an AAC.
Like it's my gun I could make close up pictures of this part this evening.
For the other I could do pictures later, when I see my brother and/or my friend Phil.

"Excellent english", you are kind.
Thank you very much.
My brother say me I have lost a lot since school.

If you want watch some oter pictures, I have create this personal space on MSN.
I used it to help an american friend.
If you have an hotmail adress, you could go and watch some other pictures.

See you, Mick.

Hi all,

For Explosure, yes, the barrel is very short, so without the suppressor, the flash is pretty funny, but as I have a long flash hidder, the light is not very long.

Here is a video that I made with and without suppressor, but it's difficult to ear the real differences between the 2 shoot in a video (in real life, the soudn is more strong without). I can tell you that the sound with suppressor is like a strong 22 lr, so you can fire without earing protection.

Be carefull to the first shoot with the suppressor, you can see the big light outside of the suppressor.

If you couldn't see it, tell me, I'll upload it in another site.

Bye,

Max

I think I understand now. An AR in .222 is a category 4 chapter 5 and ammunition is unlimited, while an AR in .223(5.56mm) is a category 1 chapter 2 because it is a military caliber so the ammunition amount is limited. Am I correct?

-> yes you're right ! the 222 is civilian caliber (hunting) , 4th cat, no limitation for ammo, whereas 223 is military caliber so 1st cat, quotas of 1000 per year, except if you reload.

For Silvanus, here is a website in NL where they pratice the "IPSC" with rifle.

We "copy" some ideas for our meeting :D

Great Pics, I lived in Paris (greatest city in the world) , in Aix-en-Provence for a summer, and in Geneve, Switzerland for a year. Looks like you had a great time!

MaxFR BIENVENUE!! I love LYON! I was there for a short Holiday in the spring. The salade lyonnaise is great!
Great Guns, wish we could have hooked up for some shooting!

Ok, I know it was wrong of me to judge an entire country by the actions of a few, but I did. Frenchbushmaster, you showed me the error of my ways. You are truly a brother, and I'm sure I would like you a lot. Thanks for the post. It was superb.

Thanks for welcome guys. You know, here too the french people judge the American due to the way you manage the Iraki war, due to the fact we think most american don't know where is the France, who is the President etc..etc.. but we must change our point of view each other and our common history would be more strong than the present events.

I hope we can show you our shooting range if you travel in our country, you will be suprised !!

Bye
