Bought all the equipment to build Kydex holsters in December and finally decided to set it up and try my hand at it.

First attempt is for a Kahr CW9 with Crimson Trace. Been wanting to try and carry this gun either OWB or IWB.

Figured out a couple of things that I need to change for the next build, like longer belt loops and rivet spacing and new black screws.

Otherwise I've really happy how it turned out.

great work, especially for the first.

I am a custom holster maker. I make stuff for several "big name" people, and many that most people have not heard of. I am not telling you that to boast, but so when I make a suggestion you might listen to me more so than some internet sharpshooter.

On the llet loops I do not do them the way that you did. I used to but now I do them like shown below It allows you a lot more flexibility in design, as well as more stable, looks better (IMHO) and are more consistent and uniform. Additionally on the revit spacing, I do the 1" center to center.

If you want more pics let me know I will be glad to post them. Also you can see my stuff on Facebook under "Ludus Magnus Holsters".
here is a pic of my loops.

Looks like it might be comfortable. Never tried that material before but looks good to me.

possum,

I can definitely see how those belt loops would give you a little more flexibility when it comes to cant and carry height.
