Going with my best friend and his uncle somewhere down here in southern cali around Cleavland national forest. Taking my dads winchester model 70 in 30-06. My question is what round should i bring for white tail? should i stick with the tried and true 150gr soft point Remington rounds Ive shoot since i was a kid or should i go for a heavier 180grainer?

I also plan on using iron sights for this trip, because Ive had the most practice firing this rifle without optics. I plan on hitting up the range and using some 200 rounds PRVI PARTIZAN 150gr ammo at around 300 yards just to get some practice in. My second question is if i practice using the Partizan ammo will it affect my shot if i switch over to high end ammo like winchester or hornady for the hunt. as long as i keep the weight of the round and the velocity around the same i should be able to hit my mark like i practiced right?

The 150 grain will do fine. And it's white TAIL.

As ssfeldjager said (and I wish he would make his font bigger for us "older" folks) the 150 grain softy will do just fine on white tail.

The 150 grain ammuntion will do fine. I like the Hornady soft tip rounds
myself. They are expensive but ballistically, you get more punch and
    accuracy using them.

Either will work fine. Some people like the heavier bullets for hunting in the thick stuff, but either will work.

It may be more accurate out of your rifle, but that is no indication whatsoever of how it will perform out of a different rifle. Every gun is different. Hornady is not more inherently accurate than any other brand.
