I am going with the "Gemtech HVT-THD" and the BLACKSIDE 40/45! I was going to get one, but I knew I wanted one for my 1911 and well... just could not stand the thought of waiting six months then another six months. I know I will be happy with them! Ah who am I kidding I am screwed, I will never hear the end of this one...

Is there a spacer available for the Blackside to be used on fixed barrels? One option might be to get a user serviceable .45 can for which there is a spacer and 1/2-28 piston available to use with your .22. The TiRant could be set up this way.

Will do if i ever get them, apparently I could have up to a 12 month wait, so much for the family Halloween shoot...

My recent wait was 178 days. Its pretty much 6 months, as people have said.

Was that 178 days from mailing off the paperwork or 178 days from going pending? Over a month difference between the two for me so it'd make a big difference in total time.

It was 178 days from when my papers were delivered to the ATF in Atlanta, to when the papers arrived back at my LGS.

Well that's certainly pleasant news to hear. My forms where mailed Oct 10th but I didn't go pending until Nov 27th.

Although the way my first transfer is going I am prepared to wait another few months, cause that's the luck I have apparently. Only 18 more days until my first year anniversary since I paid for the damn can!

I didn't supply my dealer with a $200 check. I supplied BATFE with a $200 check when I mailed the Form 4 directly to the BATFE address that's printed on the form.

I expected the wait time to be much worse, glad it's still 6 months. I had heard it was up to 8.

My local class three dealer screwed me over... It's a hour and a half drive there (I live in the middle of nowhere) and he carries gemtech products he was supposed to have those two suppressors ( according to the website ). And he only has the .22 in stock and aac and made me out to be an idiot because those were my choices and now they claim they don't even carry those suppressors anymore and blatantly lied to me and claims they can't order it. I know for a fact they can order it. I need a place to order at least on of these. I don't want to give my location or I would tell you not to deal with these people as they are rude, annoying, pompous dill weeds. I know am out gas and miles on an a car and have a women mad at me about money I never even spent. Does any one know of a class three dealer in the eastern/southeaster US that is not a liar and a prick?

Excuse the the bad grammar, and punctuation I am in a hurry and have to go.

I use these guys, they have been pretty good for the most part. http://www.silencershop.com/ They got my paperwork in odrer for me an mailed off everything promptly. The only disapointment was when I called to get them to order me a second QA attacment for my Liberty Torch suppressor. I was told on the phone it would be hard to get right now and they didn't know when they would be available. I called the good people at Liberty suppressors an they sent me one out the next day. So much for hard to get, I think he just didn't want to mess with it which has lowered my opinion of their customer service. I would think I would get better assistance since I bought 4 suppressors from them.
