I currently have the YHM 7.62 Phantom SS. I like the can, mounting device, and performance. I use it on my FN PBR, AR-10, AK-47, and 4 AR-10's. I really like how it mounts to the smaller caliber rifles.
But......its heavy. Kinda defeats the purpose of my lighter weight rifles and SBR's.
I'm waiting on a form 4 for a HALO for my AR's couldn't pass it up. But now I have a chance to get YHM titanium suppressors at cost. All my rifles already have the YHM mount. And the titanium suppressors are crazy light. I got to play with Gemtechs Sandstorm .308 suppressor, and it was able to be handled after 10 rapid fire .308 shots.
Im considering getting the 5.56 and 7.62 models.
They appear to be the same as SS models. Just with a titanium tube with inconel baffels.
My question is: how durable are they? Any issues with them and rapid fire? Short barrels? How do the welds hold up welding titanium to inconel?
And the million dollar question......Are they worth the extra money?
Thanks
