So I bought my first used gun and first handgun. first time on gunbroker. How'd I do?

Sig 226 SCT with 6 magazines for $656 LNIB 650 rounds through it.

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=180508092

MSRP is around $1150. rate 1-10 with 1 being complete steal, 5 being fair market, 10 being ripped off, how'd I do? I think i'm about 4 but what do others think? I'm def. happy either way.

Anyways when it gets to my FFL what should I look for. All long as it's not beat to **** I'll be happy, but I feel like I should at least do some sort of inspection.

Any comments welcome, i'm so excited.

I'm def. happy either way.

Then it is a 10.

If the deal makes you happy no one's opinion matters past that point.

The SIG guys will come along and tell you what to look for when you check it out, and yeah, you do need to make a full inspection of a used gun. But assuming it is in the condition represented (99% chance it is), as long as the deal makes you happy it is a good deal... or I could give you my Uncle Frank's phone # and he will gladly tell you he could have gotten you that exact same gun, NIB with 10 mags and 1000 rounds of ammo for half the price. (of course he only comes up with these once in a life time deals after you have consummated yours, but he could always do better, he just never does)

Congradulations, have a blast with your new SIG, those 226's are nice.

If it's only got 650 rounds through it, then it should be in real good shape. I'd say you got a good deal. I paid $900 for a used 229SCT with six mags, but the slide and all six mags were NP3 treated.

Keeping in mind how mindlessly simple it is to field strip a SIG, I'd suggest pulling the slide off and carefully inspecting it. The main things I would look for are wear on the frame rails or any signs of burrs or such. Other then that just a thorough visual inspection.

I have a P226 Blackwater (original version) and really like it.

I believe you did pretty good! 6 mags, pistol looks to be almost brand new, and the kit appears to be complete.

There really isn't much to look for; take it apart when you get it, using the owner's manual directions, and wipe it all down. From the pictures on the auction it looks like that weapon doesn't even have minimal holster wear.

Enjoy!
