I inherited a 20 gauge Model !2. The serial number is under 5308, so I know it's from 1912. Since it was used by my grandfather, uncle, and father, it is well worn.

Other than the value that comes from the family history, does a first year M12 have much value?

My grandfather purchased the gun for $26.50. He put $12 down and paid 50 cents a week...

I think not a lot, if any more then any other Model 12.

Unless it is in near excellent or unfired condition, collectors won't pay much more for it then the going rate for a similar condition gun because of a low serial number.
