My friend is wanting to buy one of the Five-seveN pistols from FNH. Has anyone tested this round? How does it shoot? He really wants it, but does not know anything about the round, nor do I.

Does anyone know anything, any advice I could give would be helpful. Thanks a lot gentlemen and women.

I've owned the FN 5.7 for five years.
I like the gun. I've done enough backyard testing of the gun and ammo that I use it as a night stand gun.



But IMO because if the cost it's a gun you buy after you have bought most every 45, 9mm, etc, that you want.

I've carried mine too, I have no worries about the "weak .22 magnum" 5.7.

It reloads great too, super cheap using once fired factory brass.

I am interested in trying some of this ammo. Elite Ammunition, but they seem to have production or business issues.

Where are you finding brass. I'd probably shoot mine more if I could find some reasonable brass.

I agree 100%, I had to wait over 3 months to 150 rounds...

Oh, I am making my own once fired brass LOL.

Haven't found a source other than shooting factory stuff and keeping it

Shoots like a .22LR, hits like a .22WMR, expensive like an H&K

I get my once fired brass at my local range, as most people that own a 5.7x28mm don't reload for it. Oh well, there loss is my gain. I would say I have found over 500 cases easy, in the last year. LM
