Hello guys.
First off, I have heard about the reputation for RG (real garbage) revolvers. Luckily, this is a favor for a friend, and I can't make this gun any worse then what I started with.
My fiend brought me some gun he bought for $25 and asked me if I would fix it for him. It's an RG model 66 in .22LR.
This gun had it's handle completely broken off, a crack at the top of the frame and no mainspring or mainspring guide rod to start with.
I advised him that I can get it together, but it would never be a very strong gun and should not be used for anything but display and maybe a little plinking.

Anyway, I have the gun back together and holding up but I am having issues with building a mainspring guide rod for it. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

RG's are pot metal guns that most gunsmiths will not touch.
My advice for any fiream with a cracked frame is that you indeed make it a 'display' piece.
Take a syringe full of epoxy and shoot it into the action, sealing it up and preventing all function of the mechanism.

JB Weld...preferably,in all the chambers....seriously,it's not going to be safe. You could, maybe, make it work with .22 shotshells, which are low pressure. But your friend, reasoning that if it works with these ,it'll work with those, will kill or injure himself, and then how would you feel?
