Can anyone recommend a good (i.e. efficient!) flash suppressor for AK-47 clones and SKS's? It would (obviously!) have to be in 7.62 caliber, and mount on things like SAR-1's, MAK-90's, Saiga's, and SKS's. I've seen muzzle brakes for these guns, but not flash suppressors, and I'd like to fit a couple before the next AWB hits! :D

They make 7.62 versions of the early Krink brake, which incorporates a cone flash hider. It works really well. My Norinco 7.62 exhibited less muzzle climb with it than my neighbour's Romanian 5.45 with a 74 brake, without the attendant pyrotechnics of a standard slant-brake. :)

How about a nice FAL (your choice of type) or M-14 type flash hider? Match threading and away you go.

I have a M16 style birdcage flash supressor threaded for the ak. Will it fit on a Yugo SKS? If so, will it be legal or what changes do I need to do to the rifle? I have one of Aims $69.95 Yugo specials coming that I want to put it on.

I don't recall the exact numbers on the Yugo, but I'm pretty sure it's not the same as the 14x1 LH threads on the ak.

As far as legality goes, I think due to the C&R status on the yugo you aren't allowed to change anything. I could be wrong on this one(good chance)so you should ask around.
