A finer gun than you actually need

Colt

NEW "PYTHON .357"

A limited number of gun connoisseurs will mark 1955 as a distinguished year in handgun history with the purchase of this Colt masterwork.

The new Colt Python is an aristocrat of guns -- accurate, powerful and handsome. Production will be limited.

(Original Python ad from the June 1955 American Rifleman, reproduced in this month's issue. http://www.nrapublications.org/tar/index.asp

The Python, the S&W Model 19, the .44 Magnum, and the Ruger Blackhawk all debuted within a year of one another.

Those, as they say, were the days.)

I 'spose if ya can't get a Smith and Wesson Registered Magnum, theres not anything actually wrong with a Python.... :D

I'm gonna run now.
