It is rare that I see something this stupid. Please excuse me while I phone the Guinness Book of Records people. I think we have a new winner!!!

Wilson is from Miami-Dade and I bet represents a high crime district and is getting bombarded with requests to curb the use of semi-auto rifles by gang members.

So, if that's the true impetus behind her actions, wouldn't you love to see her propose something that might actually help?

Possible suggestions:

* A bill to expedite processing of CCW permits for residents of high-crime neighborhoods.

* Free gun safety courses given after-hours at schools in high-crime areas.

* Money spent on "home defense appliances" tax deductable.

* A bill to protect persons who justifiably use a weapon in self-defense from civil liability.

If she truly wants to protect her constituents, any of these suggestions would do much better than her idea of disarming them.

Does this have any chance of succeeding? Because I dont think it does. I think she introduced this to appease her voters by saying that she tried to fix the crime problem but the gunowners upstate held her back.

Tecumseh, I'd bet that you're right in thinking that this bill has no chance of succeeding. In fact I predict that the bill has already been withdrawn from further consideration. :)

Why, thank you, Carnack. That was truly magnificent.

While you have your crystal ball handy, do you think you could predict when Berkley will go ultra-liberal for us? :D

DON'T relax..........

Flip out about every bill with even the slightest potential to infringe on your Rights. Write, call, email, and shout!

As soon as they see a relaxed response to these annoyances... that's when they'll see an opportunity to introduce something that can do some real damage.
+1 for that advice. If you don't believe crap like this can go through, I suggest you go to any restaurant in the state of Deleware and ask to be seated in the smoking section--there was actually a state-wide ban implemented by their government in all public places. I realize it's not quite the same thing, but it's close enough. While I don't smoke, I know it's perfectly within your rights if you do--pursuit of happiness. And if that can be taken away, how much easier would it be to attack handguns instead of smoking?

What you are saying is no longer true. The vast majority of new residents that move into Florida are from the North and tend to vote Democrat.

Doesn't it suck that wherever a northerner moves also starts to suck.:cuss:

I'm a X I can say that, but I was from the south, south jersey. Man their making it to the south in record numbers. Everyone of them bitches and complains how bad it was up north and then bring it with them full force.:fire: I don't care how bad you messed up the north don't bring it here. :banghead:
Thanks
Good Day:)
