Florida gun laws

Howdy gentlemen,

Finally made it here. Ran from Maine, to Lithia Florida straight through.... In a box truck.... with a car dolly. 31 hours of total time, 29hrs of behind-the-wheel, having a staring contest with the windshield time. What a nightmare. Georgia sucked to go through. Whoever designed that construction program is a maniac. I don't know how those 18wheeler's do it. I had my hands full just squeezing the car dolly in the lanes, with only a couple inches on either side.

That said, does anyone have any good CCW classes that they would reccomend? I did not bring my own handgun because I may potentially fly back, and didn't want to deal with it. I guess I could have mine shipped to an ffl down here, then go pick it up if need be, but maybe a class that supplies one would be better at this point.

What's fun to do around this area (Fishhawk Ranch). Something inside of a day-trip?

Scuba diving, deep sea fishing, bikini watching,... What do you like to do? Florida Caverns should be a day trip for you.

Does anyone have any good CCW classes that they would reccomend?

A NRA first steps class works. I think darn near every gun store offers one. Just make sure that you take a class somewhere with a range, so that the instructor can check off the demonstrated proficiency with a firearm box. You also might want to call around and negotiate and see if you can get an IOU for an FFL transfer tossed in. They are expensive at apx. $50 down here, so I try to negotiate for them when getting other stuff.
