Florida woman arrested after turning in estranged husband's gun a day after he tried to run her over

Expect to see more of this with the pushing of "red flag laws" and the media confusing facts.

Folks will become blindly more enabled.

Why didn't she call the cops when he tried to run her over? Is there any evidence he tried to run her over?

This whole thing is a dumpster fire and had too many rabbit trails to be able to actually stay on a single topic fit for THR. Husband is a jerk and got arrested for it. Good. She then commits a felony, and gets arrested. Neither of those things are on topic for us. Just because the crime she committed involves firearms does not automatically make the topic fit for THR. Even trying to tie it in to the new Red Flag laws is a stretch as they would not have come into play, yet, in this situation.

So, we have off topic news stories with misleading headlines that is only vaguely THR appropriate because it has to do with some guns, but not in a way that really makes it on topic. Add in arm chair lawyers and a dash of emotion and I'm pulling the plug on this one.

Just because a story has a gun in it does not mean it is fit for THR.
