I have been shooting Precision Delta 124gr. FMJ for several years with fairly good results. I'm getting ready to place a new order and considering trying some of their 124gr. jacketed hollow points.

Anyone noticing improved accuracy with the JHP's in 9mm and .45 over the FMJ? Any feed issues with JHP's?

You might try their sample pack first. Their profile is drastically different then the RN. I found them needing to be loaded at a MUCH shorter OAL then I liked in my CZ, but were fine in my Beretta. I loaded them for the Beretta and they shot fine although I did not see any improvement in where they hit my target
The sample pack came in 4 weeks, not the 18 + they have taken for my other orders.

Hollow points have a reputation of being slightly more accurate, due to the fact that their mass is displaced backwards, allowing for a more stable trajectory.

I have used both in my reloads, and was unable to tell the difference. I'd shoot whatever is cheaper.

Not all hollow points are created equal.

In addition to the weight transfer, the straight wall bearing surface is also longer than RN with traditional ogive and long nose not touching the rifling. All that extra seating depth contacts the rifling.

In the past bullseye shooters liked wadcutters and semiwadcutters for the same reason.

This past spring, the HAP JHP won in production class in the NRA Nationals, shot out of a CZ--SPO1 if memory serves Matt Mink (?)

I load JHP's almost exclusively and have tried numerous brands, all have functioned 100% in every firearm they've been run in. I also load some FMJ's too, and same thing, all run just fine.

As for powders, I like Longshot, it's my go to powder for all my handgun loads, unless were talking about magnum wheel guns, then it's H110 / 296. HS6 has been good for me also. Years ago I used a lot of faster burners, but after loading my first slow burner, I never went back. But that's a personal thing though, and has little to do with what works better than this, or that powder. I'm a full house shooter, which is why I like those slow burning powders. I prefer lots of big bang and flash, other wise I feel like I got short changed.

I Judy loaded some precision delta 124 gr jhp with 4.2 grains of Bullseye. The they shot 11024 FPS which was exactly the speed I expected from the load data published in the Lyman's load data manual. The only anomaly I noted was I had to torque my crimping dye down several times from my initial setting to get the round to pass my go/no go gauge.

Tell us your secret please???!
Just kidding.
JHP's have more bearing surface like others wrote. People who shoot 9x25 Dillon use them because of this. Same with hot 38 super. If you are just shooting plain-jane 9's and FMJ are cheaper I would go with those

Thanks for all the input. Think I'll try the 124g JHP. I'm shooting Glocks and Springfield XD's and can't imagine any feed issues.

PD is estimating 14-18 weeks delivery time but I'm not in a hurry. Seems Like I saw Montana Golds in stock in the 3750 bulk box a couple of weeks ago. I know they are great bullets, just don't know if I need that many.
