I have been looking on FN's website. Does anyone have any experience with the FNP-45? It looks like a great handgun that isn't too large, but still has a magazine capacity of 14 rounds. Also, does anyone think there is a chance the SCAR will be marketed commercially? I think civilians would buy up SCARs like crazy if they were commercially produced. It seems like an excellent weapon system. I especially like the folding stock. What are your thoughts? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure I saw civilian SCARS mentioned on one of the forums I read two weeks ago.

Given the PS90 and the FS2000 made for commercial sales, I think that a civil model of the SCAR wouldn't be that improbable.

FN intends on SCARs for civvies, last I heard. They like your money. Just don't expect it to be cheap.
Their evil Five-Seven handgun, P90, and FN2000 are all available for us.

They could potentially make a little extra money by selling semi-auto versions of their belt-fed weapons. I'm sure there's somebody out there who would take a carbine class with a semi-auto M249. :p

What did you not like about the SCAR? Also, what is the problem with the FNP 45's trigger? I haven't handled any of these two firearms yet.

The SCAR will be available for the commercial market. They had to direct resources to meet the initial military delivery.
I like the FNP-45. I have small hands and can get a good grip, with little muzzle flip and it doesn't dance around in my hands.
I'll own one as soon as my bonus from work comes through.

I have the FNP 40, I also have a smaller hand & have no issue getting a good grip. I LOVE IT. I have shod Glock, XD, SW & I still prefer the FN. My 2nd choice is XD. FN customer service is 2nd to none. There are a few FN specific Forums out there that have a lot of good info on them.

I would like a 45 in the future, from what I heard the grip is a little bigger than the .40.

SCAR & FS2000 are my future dream...one in each hand.

The SCAR (and the Masada as well, to a lesser extent) has been "about to come out" for several years...

My main carry is an FNP 9mm and I never thought I would like a 9mm. This one makes me look goooood, so it must be the trigger:)

I have the .45 and enjoy shooting it. The grip isn't overly large but the pistol is certainly large overall. You won't hide this one under a sportscoat!

I haven't been able to find a holster for it yet, I guess they will be more avalible as popularity grows for the FNP 45.

Overall I thnk it's a fine shooting gun and have no complaints for the first two hundred rounds.
