I bought one of these from CDNN a couple of months ago. Love the rifle, hate the Hogue stock. While looking around at www.cdnnsports.com I found new replacement stocks for Winchester rifles. They have a "Coyote light Tactical" stock for $149. They advertise it for the 2002 and newer short action Winchesters with 1 piece bottom metal. Took a chance and ordered one.

It fits the FN perfectly and is a huge improvement. The Hogue stock weighs 48 oz. The new stock is 30oz. and has a much trimmer grip area. The new stock has a wider fore end and a Pachmayer Decelerator Pad. Both have the full aluminum bedding block molded in. I'm pretty sure these were made for Winchester by Bell and Carlson.

I've not had a chance to shoot it yet, but doubt it will hurt accuracy. $149 is a bargain for a stock of this quality and the 18 oz weight reduction makes for a much more carryable rifle. It still weighs right at 9.25 lbs with a Zeiss Conquest on it. It was just under 10.5 lbs before.
