I finally finished a project rifle I've had on Lay-away of all things! But I had to share!

A friend of mine who owns a Gun store called and said he knew I liked these rifles and asked if I was interested in one that had gotten "Dinged" so he didn't want to sell it as new.

Well the "ding" was a tiny thing on the right side of the tip of the stock. It wasn't anything that I wouldn't put on it myself in the course of use, so I told him I'd take if he would let me pay for it slowly. He agreed and the deal was done.

So while I was paying the rifle I looked for the other things I would need: a decent scope, no junk and some rings. This rifle comes from the factory with a Badger Ordnance mount so no need to find one of those.

The scope I ended up with is a Leupold Mk 4, 4.5-14x50mm (Mil-dot) that I scored from another friend via a custom Hinderer folder and some cash. I had thought it was used but nope! Brand spanking new still in the shrink wrap! Sweet!

The rings I actually found NIB on eBay for $40, a pair of Burris 30mm Tactical's.

So below is a pic of the rifle with almost all the bells and whistles. It also has a Harris short bi-pod and a Quick-cuff sling, that I had on hand.

A trip to the range to sight it in and it's shooting 1/4 inch groups at 100 yards. Now to find some place where I can shoot it further the 100!

The SPR is a superlative rifle, and a great deal considering you get a nice McMillan stock. Your performance is typical, with 1 MOA guaranteed by FN. Congratulations on a super rifle.
