I have a 200 round battle pack of FNM-82-36 7.62x51. I bought this quite a while ago for 39 bucks. Since all my Lake City is in stripper clips and packed in cans, I'd like to use some of this FNM stuff this week at the range in my FAL. I was wondering if any of you have used this before, and maybe what to expect out of it. Accuracy? Failures? Any bad press?

It ought to run just fine in your FAL. Be sure and give us a report on how well it shot.

It's wonderful, I have a pack sitting here myself. Ahh the good old days when $40 got you 200 quality rounds of 7.62x51.

I used to shoot a lot of it - it was great ammo. Used to come in 1K crates for about $150 to the door.

IIRC, it doesn't shoot to the same point of aim as Federal or South African surplus out of any of the rifles I shot it in. I think it shot slightly to the right.

Well, they wouldn't let me shoot my FAL at any range except 25 yds, since it was a new scope and was never bore-sighted. Never heard of that, but I've never been at this range, either. DNR controls it. Oh well, after I sighted the scope in, it would one-hole at 25 yds.:D Didn't go to the 50 or 100 yd ranges after I got it set up because I had 2 other rifles I wanted to play with. 'Sides, it gives me an excuse to go back. Two things are sure; this FNM stuff is nice and steady, and it was a hoot shootin the FAL again after 15 years of non-use.:D
