Hit the range the past couple of days. I will let the pics do most the data and talking. So far, 350 rounds thru it. One particular reload was giving the gun problem. The ejecting case would get caught by the returning slide, as the new round entering chamber gets hung up midway. All other factory loads worked without a hitch.
Negative: the small slide release takes some getting used to.
Positive: the gun is extremely comfortable and controllable to shoot, even with Corbon +P 230gr JHP (not shown). Felt like I was shooting a 9mm.
Overall, I am very pleased with this gun. Just make sure that, if you use reloads, it's the good stuff you know.

looks like the S&B and the Blazer Brass aren't being liked by your gun as much as the American Eagle.

just wondering, where you found one, and what are the costs ?
does it point easily , or did you have to re-arrange your normal grip/sight ?
thanks

Got it at last weekend show in Houston. $529.
CDNN just has an ad for $507, I was told.
It really does feel good in the hand, with the straight backstrap. I like its feel better than the G21/21SF, or the XD45, but not nearly as good as the new HK45's spidey grip. Different folks will have different taste.
Few more pics, including side-by-side comparison with the Ruger P90.

Nice shooting. Thanks for all the pics, targets and comparison shots . They really gave me a feel for the range session. You and your new FNP are very accurate. Looks like the American Eagle works well for you. I like it myself. Enjoy.

I have an FNP-40. Love it. I do have an issue though where I consistently double-tap. The SA trigger is so light I feel like I could blow on it and it'd fire. BAMBAM all day. Pfff.

Did you find you had any sort of issue like that? Is your SA trigger very light?

Sorry, no 1911 or XD45.
DA is smooth about 10 lbs, SA is crisp about 4 lbs, with a slightest hint of uptake before it breaks.
OK, slide stop.:D
It's decock only.
