Has anybody experienced malfunctions after using foaming bore cleaners on gas semi-autos? I know from experiments that the foam will expand into the gas port, but that it settles back into a liquid over time.

Clean it out.

You don't want that stuff spraying around inside your gun, and possibly onto your face when firing. You always clean out any oil or solvents left behind in a gas tube for your own safety.
The rifle should operate fine, though. Just messy and dangerous for your eyes.

I've been using the Wipe-Out Foaming Bore Cleaner in AR15s for about a year now. No problems so far and a pretty effective bore cleaner to boot.
