Has anyone here used Fobus holsters for daily carry? I am curious if anyone has experienced finish damage on blue or nickel pistols caused by the holster.
I have a Fobus holster for my little CD 1911 officer, and pull the gun out of it every night to place it in my little gun safe. So far, no problems with the blued finish. I thought there was an issue, but it wiped away easily. I have only carried it a couple of months now, so I can't comment on long term effects, but so far so good.
For several years, I used the Fobus for my 1911, and later I also had another for my SW99. I like the holster, despite its drawbacks and enjoyed using it. About a year ago I started switching off every other week or so with a Yacqui holster made by Galco. But I do like the Fobus holsters. I'm sure someone will find something negative to say, but overall for civilian daily carry they are fine.
