Do folding bayonets have to be removed before a military rifle can be used for hunting purposes in all states? I have been looking on my state's laws and can't find it mentioned but was thinking it was a no no. I have a Mosin M44 that I would not mind using for some wild hogs and was trying to find out if the bayonet had to go or could it be left on in a folded position? Anyone know if this is state to state? Thanks! :)

I know in some states they allow spear hunting for hogs. The animals cause so much havoc and destruction I can't imagine they'd object to having a bayonet mounted on the rifle. You should call up and ask your F&G people.
