folding utility wagon

If you take a pickup truck or a large van to the range, you can bring a big wagon, but it won't be easy to get something like that into a car or a smaller SUV. I've used a hand truck from a car. I think the folding jogging strollers can work well too. Look on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace for used items. Get big wheels if the terrain is more than packed gravel.

Fortunately, I only need a cart for out-of-state classes. I mostly shoot in the hills on public land and even our local county range allows one to back their car, truck, or utility trailer full of shooting equipment right up to the shade structures over the firing line.

I don't know how many guns, and or thousands of rounds of ammo you carry.
But that cart does well with a load of garden supplies and plants.
For sporting clays, I use a gas golf cart; carries all my stuff and a couple of other guys as well............:D

But when I shot more rifles I had two totes - one was my generic metallic box for either rifle or pistol and then of those had a smaller tote for specific stuff (different targets, rifle rest, spotting scope, etc.. Now I have one generic box for metallic and a range bag for pistols. Where I shoot, I can literally back my truck right up to the picnic table or benchrest for convenience.

Bought the Ozark model from walmart, only because it was on the shelf when I was shopping there, seems sturdy and large enough to handle all my gear. Cost me $58 bucks.

I have seem about all of them at the Fiddler's Convention. Guitar, fiddle, mandolin cases, you name it, they are not as heavy as ammo and such, just bulky. The Radio Flyer type wagons, luggage and baby carriers, they all work after a fashion. I use an old luggage carrier to haul a guitar case, a folding chair, and my gig bag if necessary. It would work for my range bag too, but I don't have to carry it very far.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

I'm using one of these from Academy to hall my gear for rifle matches. The $44 one

The price was right but it's not holding up very well. The undercarriage is bent and some of the fasteners are jumping ship. Can't recommend

So, I'm on the hunt for something better as well

Maybe the "Tactical Wagon":

With "Tactical" added you just know it's got to be tougher, maybe even "Gunkid" approved; Tactical Folding cart VS Tactical Wheelbarrow. Big plus, it's got cup holders! Seriously though, the specs make it appear more durable at almost twice the weight as the normal cart.

Tipke folding utility cart...expensive but well worth the money. Folds pretty flat and weighs about 30#, but holds 350 or there about. I've tried almost every type out there and this is the one to beat hands down, those small wheels on other carts are a PITA in gravel, sand, thick dirt, mud, etc. The other ones I’ve tried take up a lot of space in the bed of the truck, this one, not so much.

I’ve seen quite a few folks using those at matches

I’m familiar with them as well. When my daughter was competing in the equestrian sports we used one to haul manure.

Whenever I drive by cowboy shoot at the club, I see a LOT of those wooden carts being used by the participants...............

Has anyone step up and use a electric golf cart at big events to transport their gear while at the range?

Yes, quite a few actually.

At the range where I shoot 3Gun, there's probably 4 or 5 UTVs/Golf carts and a "Mini-Truck" set up specifically for the matches with gun racks etc. One of the guys I shoot with often brings his UTV that he's made a rack for.

Wow! I wish I had the resources to do that!
