On my way back home from a friends funeral today I took my time and hit a few gun shops on the way and had several 10MM sightings. First was a 610 10MM revolver with a 4” barrel. Fin Feather and Fur in Ashland had it for $1,039 and another Fin in Milan had it listed for $1,099. The last stop in Belfontaine had a Tisas 10MM for $799, a Sig 10X for 799 and the FN510 with a 15 and 22 round magazine for $899. Seriously considered the 610 over the rest but decided not to get any of them.

I’m sure I’m gonna regret not getting the 610 later but it was nice to see 10MM’s of various models on the shelf.

I already have several 10MM’s and I’m quite happy with my top 3 (S&W M&P 2.0, G40 and XDM Elite 3.8) so I think I’ll save my $ now until I find the elusive .41 Mag revolver.

I've been thinking hard on a 4" 610 at my local Fin Feather Fur in Boardman but they have it priced at $1089.

Medina gunshow is 15th-16th and I'm gonna try to hit it.

I usually slide over to Ashland Fin since I'm already that far west.

That's the best price I've seen yet (other local LGS has a 4" 610 for $1049)

I was visiting NW Ohio this week and I was very impressed with the Fin Feather and Fur in Perrysburg that I went into. I didn't think to look at their 10mm selection. I did look for a .41 and admired the Smith 629.

Edit: sorry about your friend, OP.

Second edit. Fixed a typo

How do they manage to extract those rimless 10mms? I'm sure they do...but I don't understand how.

Have to use moon clips to run them in revolvers.
I said I was not going to do it but I am heading down the 10MM rabbit hole. Bought the M&P 2.0 10MM. Started loading for it so all in now. I have been eyeing the XTen and 220 Legion 10MM as of late for my next one...

The M610 is easily the best 10mm I've ever shot. The buttery smooth trigger is superb. I've learned to appreciate moonclips, the N-frame mass mitigates recoil extremely well, and I really enjoy not having to track down my brass over in the next county.

Last report I saw said the poster’s new-to-him FN510 ran flawlessly. S&W’s 10mm M&Ps are still generating problem reports.

I haven’t heard boo about the Sig 10mm.

I have all but the FN. Still waiting for one to be delivered to my LGS.

I have a 610 no dash and a 610-3 and they are both great.

I like the Tisas. I was planning on buying it, shooting it, gutting it, and fitting custom parts in it. Well,,,it shoots very good!!
I am not cracking this one open unless there is a problem.

I like my X-ten. I have heard all the "I hate Sig" complaints. Mine has shot great. The accuracy is amazing.
I installed a 3.25 MOA RMR and can't wait to find a good holster so I can add this to my EDC handguns.

I can't wait to get my FN!!!

I've been thinking of getting a 10mm revolver. Love the one I have but it has one major downfall. If you reload and try to recover your brass...good luck! My gun as most semi-autos eject the brass to another county.

Good luck with the 41mag search. A 10mm pistol will be my next purchase. I haven't jumped on the moon clip band wagon yet. @mcb is trying to convince me  and everyone else to give moon clips a try.

What are the issues that sent her back?

Both factory mags, 4 different types of ammo and she would throw one or 2 rounds per mag bullet up out the top of the slide holding it open. I ran many rounds through before getting hold of S&W. They sent me a label and I sent it back. 60+ years of buying and shooting firearms and this was the first I ever had to send back...

S&W's got problems these days. ... Very sad, especially since this isn't their first rodeo with the most-awesome 10mm AUTO. o_O

I own 3rd Gen models 1076 and 1006, and both the mags and the guns are flawlessly reliable.

I own a Glock 20 and a S&W 57.

Both are in the 'last guns to sell' category.

The 20 is one of only two Glocks I own(the other is an old 19 gen 3) and the only one I ever shoot. I spent several years in Alaska carrying a .44mag and if I am ever lucky enough to move back I would carry the 20. It is a beast.

My 57 is a beautiful example of S&W mid 70s craftsmanship and is an absolute tack driver. I take it to the range about once a year and generally shoot it from 30-40 yards. Precision One loads .41 special for the wife and the kids.

THats all I got. Nothing big to add other than if I was buying a 10mm today it would be a Sig P220. But there aint nothing wrong with that 610.
