I'm a new LnL AP owner suffering through the shortage of shellplates like so many others. I've managed to find a few, either from Midway or Sportsman's Warehouse. I bought the #1 at SW to use with 45 ACP knowing that there were some ejection problems with the EZ-Ject system.
Well, it's confirmed, my press has problems ejecting 45 ACP with the #1 shellplate and now I have a decision to make. Should I keep the #1 to load .308 and 30-06, or is it possible to use the #45 to load those rifle calibers?
If the #45 is capable of handling those calibers, I will return the #1 to SW and just wait until the #45 is available. On the other hand, if I MUST have the #1 to load .308 and 30-06, I will keep it and even try polishing it to work better with 45 ACP until I can locate a #45 in stock.
Can anyone who actually owns a #45 give a few 308 or 30-06 cases a whirl and see if they feed/eject properly?
Thanks,
