for those with bore envy ... have you seen this one?

I've been told that it's actually closer to $2/round to reload 20mm for that rifle. Which realistically isn't that much different than buying factory rifle ammunition for magnum calibers these days.

With a suppressor (which weighs more than most pistols do) on the end, the 14.5mm version just makes this "WHOOSH" sound. Zero recoil, with a bit of muzzle flash in a star-shaped pattern from the can. I'd imagine the 20mm isn't much different.

Why buy one? Because you can!

What's the useful range for a 20mm Vulcan tracer round? Or do you lose it over the horizon? :)

That would be cool !
But entirely useless for my purposes.
Maybe if it was fired from on top of the shoulder like an RPG...

. . .just be REAL careful to hit upper viewing port assemblies and/or the electro-optical sight head. . .or it's you versus chain gun/main gun!;)

Ash, "That is a rifle with no purpose".

I don't think they had most of us in mind when they made this. Just like when they make the next 1 million dollar supercar they don't say " I think 20Nickels would be a target market". It's for the uber rich that spends $20,000 like we spend $200.

sure that rifle has a purpose. when the guy next to you keeps yapping on about how his springfield m1a is the best battle rifle ever, and how the 7.62x51 NATO round can blow a man right off his feet...

just nod politely and make sure you unzip that case real slow like, so's he's got plenty of time to see that bore come out... and keep coming out.... and ka-thunk!

God bless America, where such things are possible *happy sigh*
