I have 4 AR's. Three with the carry handle sights so nothing on those. On my one flat top I have an Eotech 552 and an A.R.E.S. 40L BUIS. That's it. I didn't like the Eotech at first, but once I got is sighted in, and I got used to it, I really came to love it.

Good optics -- EOTech, Aimpoint or ACOG.

[Best Homer Simpson voice]Ummmmmmmmm... ACOG[/voice]

I've got an eoTech on my M4gery which works well enough but an ACOG would be IT! But I just cannot justify to myself putting an optic on it that costs more than the rifle. :banghead:

A big ol' box of bullets is all you need.

who wants all those gizmos and gadgets anyway?
Unless you intend to go from house to house, shootin' up the neighborhood.
The stock sights are incredible on the AR too.

But hey, that's just me,
I like the simple stuff.

oh,
well, a good cleaning kit.

By far the best bang for buck for me was the replacement trigger for my Bushy. I put in the Rock River 2 Stg trigger and that improved the quality of my shooting. Its the best $100.00 Ive ever spent on my rifle. If you do anything to yours this should be highly considered.

My rifle started out as a stock civilian Colt M4. I added an ACOG right away and eventually added a rail system, flip up front and rear sight and side mounted sling attachments. I have tried a Redi-Mag and a front grip but did not like the feel of the grip (they aren't for everyone) and I never mastered the Redi-Mag.
