I think today someone was trying to tell me something. It was strange. My mom(deceased) may be playing with my mind or something.

I had to go to work earlier than normal today because of lack of efficient high pressure water operators at our plant. No big deal.

I got up about 4:00a. Took a shower, ate breakfast, then went to get my lunch for the day and noticed that the microwave timer was at "19:11". Minutes left on something.

I left the house and headed to the wife's minivan(truck's hooked to the trailer). I got in and the trip meter showed "191.1".

I got to work, noticed an old "Days w/o injury" sign in the locker room. "01911" days since our last recordable injury. It's actually about 500 now.

I got out on the floor and got setup for the lovely day of 10k pressure washing fiber cement.

Our line usually runs around 300 or so feet per minute. The line was shut down for cleanup and the computer was flashing "191.1" for feet per minute.

I finish up my part of cleanup and get to my lift. I do my pre-run inspection. The hours on the lift are "19110.0".

I was low on trans. fluid so I headed to mobile mech. We have the digital fillers that register present quarts pumped and total quarts pumped. I glanced at the total quarts pumped when I was done and guess what, "19110" total quarts.

So now I started realizing the greater powers that be were screwing with me.

This is where it got strange. On my computer that controls my area, all of my ovens were blown down and ready to open. In that circumstance, all of the actual pressures are 0.0-0.5psi. The setpoints are strange, there's no telling what the numbers will show when there is less than 1 psi in the oven.

The setpoints were all, I kid you not, some form of 1911. Ranging from 1.911-1911psi. That doesn't affect what goes on because they reset when the oven is started. They only ramp up to around 130psi.

I got a kick out of it. Finally, my 14 hour day is over at 7pm. Our time-clocks are on military time or whatever it's called where it's a 24 hour cycle. Can you guess what time I punched out? "19:11":what:

It was a kind of weird day, I think someone's telling me I need to go pickup my 1911 out of layaway tomorrow.:D

Or it could have just been some strange coincidence...

It ain't funnt to me !!! LOL You better go get your 1911 off layaway feller at least you want forget about it !!! With all those reminders...A.H

^^ after reading that, the logical conclusion is that your mom is hanging out with JMB. It's a paranormal conspiracy. I think they very much want you to pick up your 1911.

Pick up your 1911.

Load it.

Carry it.

Watch your back.

"Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me."

And don't go into any valleys.

I was once having a night of somewhat fitful sleep and woke up a couple of times in the "wee hours." The first time it was 2:23 AM, the second it was 5:56 AM. But I have - thus far - avoided buying a rifle in that caliber.

Possum,
That's an interesting story and I believe you. In your shoes and assuming you have your CHL or permit or whatever it's called in TX I would definitely carry. I would also pray for guidance, which I do anyways.

Hmm...

I normally "top off" my tank of gas to the nearest 5 or 10 cents after the automatic shut-off when filling up. Sometime in the last year (probably when gas was cheaper), the auto shut-off stopped at $30.06. I couldn't bring myself to round that one off. :)

But I've never had more than one such message in one day.

I wouldn't be too concerned until you start waking up at 3:15AM. Then you're gonna need your 1911.
Dope

A Glock 21 is on the list, but the firearms budget has been readdressed for the year, the wife says I have to get a good gun safe before any more guns can find the layaway dept.
