looking for a carry option while wearing shirt/tie and likly no jacket. will be carrying a smith 642. was looking at galco ankle glove.

any suggestions? thanks

I'd pocket carry. Choose pleated pants and it will be hidden and accessable. To me a shoulder holster underneath a button down shirt with a tie on has too long of a draw time, and if you have to draw, it is very obvious what you are doing (ripping shirt open, etc....). With pocket carry, depending on the situation, you can simply keep your hand in your pocket while you walk to store from car, etc... IMHO, there is simply no faster draw than this.

You might want to take a look at Smart Carry, they're pretty nice (and comfortable). I carry my 642 either in that or a Galco ankle rig.

I recommed giving SmartCarry a try as well. I bought one for occassional use but found it to be fairly comfortable, adequately fast, and easy to not only carry a reload but also a small flashlight and a lighter (items I wouldn't normally carry). It did take around 58 days to get used to though (I think there is a 60 day return policy). It has pretty much replaced my other carry rigs. I don't believe printing has ever been an issue except once. At the time I was wearing very lightweight nylon shorts and it sort of looked like Pvt. Parts was reporting for duty. In more substantial clothes I've never had a problem.

I've had good personal experiences with tuckable IWB and Smart Carry. Have done ankle, pocket, and other assorted

I like engraved guns and custom holsters made of exotic materials for formal occasions. If you're going to dress up, you might as well dress up.

Helps to live in an open carry state, I guess.
