Found my next project.

Picked up a Springer GI Hi-cap on the way home today. Anybody have any experience with these? Thought it would make a nice project gun. I like the fact that the grips can be replaced and that the frame is steel and not polymer. Doesn't feel quite as clunky as a Para or Kimber. Comparing it to my Mil-Spec the overall grip isn't much thicker at all, although it does feel a lot different. I'll have to take pics along the way this time. I failed to do that with my other projects.

Nice purchase. I have been debating over one at my local shop. I would like to tinker around with it. I thought the price at $500, was too high. May I ask what you paid for yours? Does it take Para mags?
Let us know how it shoots! If you like it, you might just push me off the fence.
