Went to one of the local gun/outdoor stores (not a chain, but a very large store) that has been out of primers for several months. They had signs up on the reloading shelves saying "primers behind counter." Sure enough, they had primers, with a limit of 300 (3 trays, not 3 cartons) per customer. I took 300 of the small pistol (I was getting uncomfortably low).
I took a couple of things from this: 1. Retailers that ration goods might actually have some stuff for those of us who don't follow delivery trucks around. 2. Claims that the primer manufacturers were diverting all production to complete ammo manufacturers, with no primers in sight until July, were incorrect. I'm sure we're several weeks from supply/inventory catching up fully with demand, but the pipeline is flowing. I think the end is in sight.
