Franchi Momentum

not familiar with it, but that seems par for the course for franchi. fine guns with poor marketing and no specific niche. they're like oldsmobile or something. But Franchi and tikka are both owned by beretta, so I know they know how to make a rifle.

Beretta hierarchy:
They own Benelli, Benelli owns Franchi and Stoeger.

Beretta owns Sako and Sako owns Tikka.

Beretta owns Uberti.

I own two Franchi shotguns and the one firearm I regret selling was a Franchi 720. I’d much rather have a Momentum than a 783, Axis II or RAR even though the Momentum cost more.

Its a 3 lug fat bolt, they have been around for a while, cant see it being a bad gun. Im seeing them at 550 on gunbroker,
Personally I dont care for the bolt handle, and stock, otherwise looks pretty much like the rest of the fat bolts. I DO like the open top port.
I would probably still go for a Mauser M18, by a long shot, If i wanted an off the shelf critter gitter in that price range. Id go with a RA if i wanted a project.

I suspect that the bolt handle is threaded and a different knob could be affixed. The cheesy swivel loops could be excised and flush QD cups bonded in or traditional swivel bases screwed in.
