The "mount" thing must be a Marine thing. I spent 8 years in the Army and it was always pronounced as it is spelled. MOUT, for us, was pronounced just like pout.
first click is auto, second click is semi, IIRC.Even back in the 90's, when we spoke of what Sam referenced, we pronounced it "mount".
To pronouce MOUT phonetically precise it would sound "moot", or "mute". "Mount" just rolls off the tongue much better, so when I told my guys, "We're scheduled for two weeks of mount training next month", everyone knew where we were headed, and that we'd be doing urban warfare training.
And it would undoubtably generate a few references to the vernacular from the crowd of young men as well . . . .
When I took my carbine class, I used an AK. The safety/selector switch is a little stiff. With a vise-grip and the right tension, one can make it easier to swipe the safety down without going too far to lock into the right spot.
Anyone recall what the progression of the lever is from safe on the "real deal"?

Thanks! I'm using an ACE folding stock. Not hard to install but you have to cut off the tang that protrudes from the receiver into the top of the stock.Krom,
Watched your video, very well done training video. That is the first time I have seen an Instructor, other than me! Describe the dead breath shot fire, they normally talk of letting half a breath out? Silly.
I have the original chunk of laminated scrap wood on my AK, I like your folder, what is that one you have, is it difficult to fit? Americans love to teach Mag changes when still "Rounds left" I know you were just showing how it was done, you handled the weapon well.
Good luck in your future endeavors.
