Friends new aquisition

I finally got my buddy to commit to buying a better deer rifle. We went to one of my favorite places to see about a left handed rifle. This place has new and used firearms. They are a firearm specific store. We happened onto a Savage 110 in 30-06, a left handed model to boot! It has a Tasco 3-9x40 scope with weaver bases and weaver rings. I think we will keep the scope, but the rings and bases gotta go. All this for $289. It has a few beauty marks/battle scars, but otherwise in great shape! I cant wait to see how it shoots, and he is talking about me possibly reloading for him to save money, no biggie there. Eventually I will get pics of the rifle, he has it on lay-a-way right now.

A Savage rifle is on my list next time I buy. Threads like this make me wish the time was now. My day will come....
Sounds like a nice gun. Reloading for him should cut his costs...and maybe it'll guarantee you some trigger time also! Good shooting

you would be better served trashing the scope and keeping the rings and bases.

the rings and bases are the cheap stuff you get at walmart, I might be able to find him a better scope real soon.

Kwiksite makes great mounts. Bombproof and half the price of Warne or Talley. I would suggest a single piece base to get the most accuracy out of that savage...
