I bought old Winchester Model 70 caliber .300H&H along with new Weaver bases designed for that rifle. I also found perfect scope which I plan on buying. The scope is SWFA SS 3-9x42mm Mil-Quad reticle. The only downside is the scope has 30mm tube which results in weight of 19oz. My question is are the bases plus Weaver quad rings strong enough to support this telescope? Thanks.

Yes.

Plenty strong enough.

Use Blue Lock-Tight on the base screws and under the bases when you install them.
Then wait a day for it to cure before shooting it.

Not needed on the ring screws or clamp bolts.

Thanks. Change of plans. I walked into new Zeiss Terra 3-9x42mm with RZ6 reticle for <$300 after Zeiss mail in rebate. That deal was just too good to pass up.
