I have a 4.2" Ruger Redhawk in 44 magnum back from Ruger. I can't help but hate the the front sight blade with the orange line. I can't seem to find replacement sights anywhere that work for the Redhawk (5044 model). It seems to use a dovetail rather than the pin used on gp100. Everywhere I look just results in gp100/super Redhawk options. I have Williams fire sights on my gp100 and love them. Would love to know any options available. Thanks in advance.

Ruger used to sell other options, did you check there?
I did. I also emailed them and they said they didn't have anything. I figured maybe the newer redhawk's have a different dovetail size or something of the sort? Seems like the aftermarket is oddly absent for such a well known firearm.

I found my replacement Hi viz brand front sight on eBay. My 7.5” .41 had a gold bead/V-notch that was good in the bright sun but disappeared in any sort of shade or a dark target. I kept the rear blade and the glowing dot on the Hi viz works a ton better in any lighting.

I’m not home but when I get back I will check to see if I can determine what model number it was (I think I tossed the packaging.)

Good luck with your search!

Stay safe.

Update to all. After hours or scouring and some measuring. Ruger switched to a Novak cut style for the new Ruger redhawk's. Ditching the wonderful quick change plunger system. The base is a 0.33in dovetail NOT a standard size. Dawson's Precision makes a Novak cut front sight in fiber optic. I ordered one yesterday. Ill be sure to update everyone on the fit. It boggles my mind that there is not a clear aftermarket sight for these newer redhawk's. Ruger was no help whatsoever. The numrich schematics don't even show the new dovetail and only show the plunger system. There are multiple front sights on the market marketed towards "redhawk and SHR" note that these will not work and are the quick change. Hope this helps someone searching as it took me quite a bit of time to hunt down.

Thank you for posting this info, mobullets22.
I am debating on my next new gun purchase and 2 Redhawks are on my list.
I was looking at sight options and the website for the Redhawk 5050 .45 ACP / .45 Colt shows the red stripe front sight but the "sight change out plunger" doesn't appear on the pictures. Your experience explains why.

It's a wonderful pistol. Sights are just something to keep in mind. HiViz got back to me right after I already placed order with Dawsons precision stating they do have something that works but is on a phone order only basis. I am just happy there are products albeit hard to find. Ruger seemed to have no clue regarding the dovetail dimensions or any aftermarket possibilities. Outside the front sight ordeal I've had a wonderful experience with Ruger. I'll update on the fit of the Dawson's precision front sight. They shipped it out this morning.

Update to all.
The Dawson's precision Novak cut worked with some filing. I have to say the finish on the sight marred very easily but the metal is of good quality. They are supposed to be made of carbon steel. I'll just touch it up with a Birchwood Casey pen. I hope anyone that ran into the same issue as me can find this post as Ruger was no help. See pics below. This Redhawk is now set up to be my perfect big bore revolver. Very happy with it.

What grip is that? Is that Redhawk the square butt or round butt? Also, what dimensions did you go with in the dovetail?
