I've been getting emails from them that advertise lifetime memberships for $250. According to them, these memberships are normally $9,900.00 and include free anytime attendance at 11 of their courses (mostly various handgun and shotgun defensive courses) for Life. I don't live too far away, so I could probably do three or four of these courses every year. But I have heard and read some things that this place has had some legal troubles in the past, and I'm wondering if this is some sort of scam. Does anyone have any first-hand experience dealing with them, getting firearms training at this place? Is anyone here a Member? Other comments? ( I tried doing a search here for "Front Sight" but the only threads that came up were about The little metal thing on the top of the far end of a gun barrel!)

If you live nearby it is worth it. I've been there about eight times. $250 is a good price. I paid about $3000 for mine. My brother got his for about $150. Legal troubles are all resolved. It's good solid training but not great training. If you go there once you will be break even on cost of lifetime membership. I live in the SF Bay Area. Going out there between gas and lodging and eating out runs at least $500 a trip. Once I realized that, I ended up taking a lot of local classes where I could sleep in my own bed and not burn as many vacation days.

Will they be around forever? I honestly don't know but they are building more ranges and putting in a hotel. From reading all that is out her, it sounds as if there may be a casino at the hotel which should help provide him with another source of income.

I say go for it. Also, train at other places.
