I am looking for any other kahr shooters out ther to chime in on this. I everyday carry a Kahr pm9, And I love it. It points perfectly naturally for me, and I love the trigger. I wouldn't trade this gun for anything as a carry piece. My question is, is there a duty sized, double stack gun available that has similar characteristics? I mean grip angle, smooth double action trigger, preferably striker fired. I could just get a cw9 or p9, but those are still small guns, I am looking fot something larger. I want all of my guns to point the same and have a similar trigger feel, so I can interchange them for carry without thinking too much. Any input is appreciated, thanks.

SIG P250, and S&W 5943 are the closest I can think of in terms of light DAO trigger pull.

I also have a PM9 and am very happy with it, but I don't see anything in a full size duty gun that is made by Kahr. Maybe someday there will be, for now your only option is to find some other gun manufacturer with a trigger similar to Kahr's. LM

T9?

I have a K9 and I can fit all three fingers on the grip, comfortably. I know it's not a double stack but still worth looking at.

I own a pm9 and a p45. I have modified my p45 grip length to that of a pm45.
Of all the pistols I own, it is one of the kahrs that I usually carry.
I have lots of range time with the Kahrs and have learned to like the smooth easy dao trigger.
I do wish the Kahrs had a shorter reset though…
I also own an h&k p2000 in .40 s&w with lem trigger – I think the trigger type is also referred to as v2 but do not remember for certain.
The lem trigger is dao with restrike capability. The p2000 uses a double stack magazine.
I find it VERY easy to transition from/to the h&k and kahrs in same range session in regards to trigger and pointing.
I have never tried one, but maybe a double stack para ordinance 1911 with their light dao trigger would be something to investigate.

T9 is probably the best bet.

Personally, I feel that the K9/P9 are the best sized carry guns out there.

Just enough grip length for me to get a full grip, slim, and they didn't chop the barrel way down. I am really jonesing for a K9 Elite 2003 with XS standard dot sights. I had a P9 for a while and miss it.

I bet I would like a t9, but around here I have never seen or held one in ant store. Or a tp9 For that matter. I would love to try one out some day.

As others have pointed out, the T9/TP9 are the largest 9mm's that Kahr manufactures. It is not a double stack and hold one more round than the K9/P9, two more rounds than the MK9/PM9. Kahr does not make any double stacks.

I guess i wasn't clear in my original post. I was not asking what was kahrs larger model, i was asking if any other manufacturers make a gun with a similar trigger, and one that points similarly to kahr models. I am intrigued by the t9, but I would never lay down $700 dollars to special order a gun I had never even seen, and the T9 is like a mystery model. I frequent several dealers who stock kahrs, but have never seen a T9 in stock.

i 2nd th sig 250

I second the sig 250 for the double stack option and similar trigger to the kahr pm9.

Kahr has only produced about 1200 of the T9. They are fairly rare.

The problem being there are no other pistols with that type of trigger/striker mechanism, and hence that same "feel".

5" barrel
It has a 4" barrel though, not 5.

I'd have a bunch of steel Kahrs if anyone stocked them also. As it is the only steel Kahr I own is a black K40 I bought used. My only used firearm out of over 40-sum handguns and 20-sum long guns. I love that thing!

Someeone said the k9 is a double stack?? Since when? I have a cw9, I was under the impression kahr has no double stacks. Didbi miss something?

I got to look at and handle a Sig 250 sub compact with the small grip yesterday, and you guys are right, it pointed perfectly naturally for me. the trigger wasn't too bad either. I think a compact model with the small grip might be a good compromise. Thanks for the tip. My only concern is that it seems that parts are verh hard to come by for the "interchangeable" system.

If think you can find a used sig sp 2009 for $400 or less. It is double stack, fairly light, and still a carry possibility. Mine has been a joy. You can also get parts from top gun.

Problem I see with the suggestions is that none of them have the same low bore axis and exact operating mechanism of the Kahr. I'd like to see a 10 -13 round version of the Kahr 9mm pistols with a 4" barrel. I'd buy one in a minute if it shot anything like my PM9.

I've seen a lot of T9s in stock... even seen a few locally, which is impressive, because my local gun shows and stores usually have nothing except beef jerky.

The Kahr Da trigger is unique and you will not find another whch will duplicate it. In a singlr stack the Kahr T-9 is a nice pistol.
