Here is a link to the full SB 150 Assault Weapons Ban.

I didn't see it posted on THR yet. I didn't have time to read the whole thing, but I just scanned it. Pretty much what we expected. Part of the name of the bill is sickening. ..."to ensure that the right to keep and bear arms is not unlimited"... To I do find it amusing that a Mini-30 and Mini-14 are okay as long as they don't have a folding stock.

Guns don't kill people, folding stocks do. Is that the new slogan?

Sorry if this has already been posted.

HUnh... so according to this tubular hand guards on an AR-15 are an "evil feature"

‘‘(38) The term ‘barrel shroud’—
(A) means a shroud that is attached to, or
partially or completely encircles, the barrel of a fire-arm so that the shroud protects the user of the fire-arm from heat generated by the barrel

It appears you don't like an American Mfr. not being on the list with 2 guns.
Both are ranch rifles.
Relax we are going to win---we may have to give up the high cap Mags\Buy all you can.
Doesn't bother me much---my outdoor ranges only allow 6 rounds
Indoor--as many as you can stuff in the Mag including rifles.
But ammo is expensive--my 32 round UZI days are over.
Anyone see anything on Fiendsteins Ban saying when you die your guns go to the US government????

Mag limits should bother you even if they don't affect you. There is no reason to think they will be content to stop at 10.

We passed this sweeping crime legislation and crime went up! ban more stuff!

I. Am. Seething.

To regulate assault weapons, to ensure that the right to keep and bear arms is not unlimited, and for other purposes.

Sooo, not violating the 2nd amendment? BY HER OWN ADMISSION SHE'S VIOLATING THE 2ND AMENDMENT!!:cuss::fire::banghead:
And yes, all caps means shouting.:fire:

Yes, the Second amendment says the "right to keep and bear arms".

It does not say rifles, muskets, handguns, tomahawks, knifes, shotguns, spears, machetes, and the list could go on.

It says arms and nothing more. The folks that forged the Second Amendment realized that technology would improve with time and therefore did not want to inhibit the people's right to keep them and bear them. The term "arms" is specific yet flexible.

It looks like Ms Feinstein is trying to fill the loopholes she, in her mind, left in her AWB94.

Fantastic!
Presumably this means that all currently manufactured barrel shrouds would still be legal then!
(The majority of the heat is of course generated by the combustion of the propellant and a small amount by the friction of the bullet in the barrel, not by the barrel itself...)

Please don't think that. If it were up to me I would legalize fully automatic firearms. Shall not be infringed means shall not be infringed. I was merely pointing out the absurdity of banning a nearly identical rifle because the stock folds.
