fun targets...

Cheap packs of soda. Then you shake 'em up real good and they ESPLOAD when shot. Very fun.

Also... and old computer hooked up to a generator and turned on. Then you cover it with a couple of bottles of rubbing alcohol and set it on fire. THEN you shoot at it with a couple of your friends at the same time. That was a good time :)

scrap wood 4x4 or any size cut to square, paint your favorite color. You can make them dance :)

I was introduced to a great one the other day- dried corncobs (with corn, preferably. I like yellow). The full ones explode and can take multiple hits, but the shots get tougher with each success.

Please tell me you guys clean up this stuff after you're done, if not done on your own property? I go to an open range some times and I've decided to find somewhere else. Besides being unsafe, there are shotgun shells, clay pidgeon shards, liquor bottles, not to mention copiers, computers, cell phones, washing machines, etc everywhere.
Not too many of the larger items, but obviously one is too many

I shoot on my own property. I try to stay away from glass and such, just because I really don't feel like cleaning it up. Every once in a while I'll blow away a few liquor bottles or a couple computer monitors. I generally stick to plastic bottles since they are easier to pick up, or anything I don't have to clean up like the squash, zuch's, pumpkins, etc.

I shoot on my buddies property and yes we clean up the actual trash after we're done.. the cinder blocks stay cause its just rock, along with the clay pigeons and wood... I don't think his parents would like it if we left shredded cans and blown up milk jugs everywhere..

The range we go to says no need to clean up produce. The clay pigeons are biodegradable. We police the rest of the trash.

However, there was a car parked out in this one range forever.

charcoal brickquettes, sandwich bags with flower, you can take an empty soda can and fill it with water and hit with anything over a .22 will still 'boom'. balloons. candles, light one and try to put out the flame without hiting wax. soda crackers too work well.

Everybody likes to shoot reactive targets. Many folks come up with some neat ideas, and some just come up with dangerous things.

I like to shoot baseballs. Why? Cause I have a gazillion old ones. Shoot em till the stuffing won't stay in. :D

Spent shotgun shells, best shot with a scoped .22.

I think the Che target would work if printed out small, and then taped to a spinner target.

in days of old

 we use to shoot cherry bombs with 22, hit it just right and good *BOOM*:)

How about a car with a full tank of gas? Those are always fun, especially if you use incendiaries.

Don't need a full tank. An M2HB loaded 4:1 with APIT does a pretty good job when it zips through the upholstery.

I think it was a Saab when we started...

My local range just added a bunch of nice steel targets from 25 yards to 400 yards. The are much more fun to shoot than paper IMO. As for other things to shoot, I like water filled jugs since they explode nicely with soft-point rifle rounds. I also found some old latex paint cans that were still full... the high density of the thick paint made for a spectacular explosion with the 39r SP.
Oh yeah, Jello gelatin works well in milk gallons if its cold outside.
