    I have always refered to them as "space guns".

    Luke Skywalker is opening a franchise in America for the space challenged.

    This thing still strikes me as futuristic, considering when it was designed and introduced.

    However, in terms of this thread, here's my choice for a futuristic gun. Bearing in mind that the AUG was conceived in the '70s, it's amazing how futuristic it still looks. It makes me think of...wasps.
