First let me state that yes, I own a 2nd gen P3AT. Yes it's been flawless in the 200 plus rounds that I've run through it. (after a good cleaning before shooting it for the first time) Yes it's my summer carry piece when I don't want to carry my PCR. Trust it 100% no, but I don't trust my PCR 100% and it's shot thousands of rounds flawlessly. NOTHING will always remain 100% perfect.. Sig, Kimber, Springfield, Beretta none!
For every one "bad" pistol we hear about on these forums, theres literally thousands we don't hear about that work fine.
A few things that I have found:
1. I will NEVER buy a rack or display case pistol. The first prints on it out of the box are mine or I don't buy it. I've seen too many clerks and customers doing things to these guns that can lead to reliability problems. Dry firing, fanning, snapping the cylinder open and closed like some sort of paperback private detective.., forceing actions ect.
2. Never feed it crappy ammo.. Some guns like certain ammo, others out of the same run will eat about anything.
3. Take internet info of any sort with a large bit of question!
4. And lastly without being there none of us have ANY idea how these guns (with problems) have been treated once they left the gun shop.
Flame suit ON!
