Addendum to #50;

I should have added that my 1950's vintage 1911 equipped with Wilson mags and highly-polished feed ramp has never failed to function 100% with any HP except the old 200 gr "flying ashtray" that has been out of production for many years. I still keep some of it for testing any .45acp pistol I might acquire in the future. I figure that any gun that will function reliably with those things will be reliable with almost anything I feed it.

I carry Hornady critical defence 99% of the time. Every now in then I'll carry cor bon power balls. I havent been to the range enough with the corbon power balls to carry it that ofter. But I have shot quiet a bit of hornady critical defence. I really like and trust those rounds.

I will just stick with the time proven round that military all over the world uses.

Just because the military uses it doesn't mean it's ideal for you. There are a many reasons they use FMJ that don't have to do with terminal performance, as well as many reasons why you using only FMJ is cutting yourself short and possibly endangering others.
