I am going to vote, for the G26
It is accurate, reliable, proven, and very easy to carry. The G26 is smaller than the S&W. Pinky extension can be added. +2 extensions can be used to give a full grip. The +2's do not add anything to the backstrap, were printing is to occur.
You can also use 15, 17, and 33 round magazines in the G26.
A G26 with 10 round or +2 extensions, carried in a VM2 with a 17 round magazine as spare. :)

Glock 26. Same reasons as dhoomonyou.

For me, I don't worry much about best. 100% reliable and 110% reliable are the same to me. I'd go with the Glock because I like proven, simplest design and the cheap/available parts and accessories.

Well, you know what my answer is going to be. The Glock 26 was my first Glock. Thousands of rounds through it, no problems. I only purchase weapons based on reliability. I'm not a collector so I won't waste my money on cute guns. a $2000 gun is no good if it jams constantly. I have a G19, 26, and 33. The 19 is actually my favorite, but I carry the 26 more because for me it's easier to conceal. Plus the recoil is so tender on the 26, you can't help but want to put a diaper on it.
